One Superstar is enough for the Los Angeles Lakers

| Will this happen? I don't think so |
If given the opportunity to become General Manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, I wouldn't hesitate to land an above average NBA player. With Kobe Bryant already on the team's current roster, I don't want to give an NBA All-Star like Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James a max contract worth $90-100 million. Giving them a contract as expensive as Kobe's doesn't make sense at all.

| This guy's massive contract has occupied most of the team's salary cap |
Kobe's contract is worth $48.5 for 2 years. If fans want another All-Star in LaLa land, I guess that won't happen because the Lakers already have Kobe and his massive contract. LA can't just sign any player and give them an expensive contact because there is a limit to their expenses, which is caused by the NBA salary cap. They have no choice but to sign quality players at a cheaper contract in order to avoid the luxury tax, which is a punishment given by the NBA to teams who have exceeded the given salary cap. So if the Lakers want to succeed in the future, they must make wise decisions and see to it that talented players gets interested in signing a contract with them.
