Derrick Rose Must Prove to His Critics That He is Not A Weak Athlete
Derrick Rose's team, the Chicago Bulls, may be successful
without him, but they will never be the same with him included on their team.
Rose failed to show up during the 2012-2013 season due to his torn ACL
(anterior cruciate ligament). Therefore, fans were excited to see his much
awaited return during the 2013-2014 season. Rose even stated that he would come
back as a stronger and better athlete. However, another injury prevented him
from playing. During the Bulls-Blazers game, he tore his meniscus in his right
knee. Now all hope was lost for him because he was compelled to have his
surgery, then undergo rehab, which would last up to 6 months. Therefore, he can
never play a single game again during the 2013-2014 season. Now that he is
healthy, he must take of his body so that he could minimize having major
injuries which could derail his overall progress as a player. More practice must be done so that he could come back as a stronger, better and a more mature athlete. He is the face of the Chicago Bulls franchise. As the face and leader of the team, he must find ways in order to prove that his team is worthy of being called a championship-caliber team. The 2014-2015 NBA
season is fast approaching. Therefore, he must do everything he can to prove to the world that he is
not a weak and injury-prone athlete. Expectations must be exceeded or else his reputation as the youngest player to ever win the Most Valuable Player award will be obliterated.
