The necessity for a major improvement in my life

Perhaps everyone in this world has experienced suffering. Actually, suffering is normal in life. In order for people to grow, they must experience little deaths in life. Well, for me? I experience it every single day. Sometimes, I ask myself: Paolo, do you have to push yourself to the limit? Why not rest a little bit? Then I answer it myself: Duuuhhh, you’re Paolo Fuentes, you can’t afford to not become one of the best, or even the best in class. You must never be related to mediocrity! You must be associated with success, excellence, or even perfection! I know this notion is too pressuring but it actually leads me to my goals: good scores, good grades, particularly A’s and praise from others. But people might regard me as a perfectionist. Well, I don’t really care for I am known for this.
When my parents ask my teachers about me, they’d tell them: Oh, Ma’am/ Sir, your son is an achiever, but he’s pressuring himself too much. O, Paolo, when are you ever going to change? When you’ll experience a near-death experience? I think my conscience is right. I DO have to change. Not for the worse, but for the better. I need to loosen up. Most people say life is beautiful, and I want to perceive life in that way. There’s so much more to life than studying and reading textbooks. I need to excel in other aspects of life. However, other people might say: Oh, why aren't you the highest anymore? Is your performance declining? Oh, those critics, they’ll never shut their mouths. But I must tell myself all the time: Paolo, fail harder now, so you can succeed easily later.

  2. I really need a motivation to have better grades. I usually just have P's or sometimes one or two A's. I also think that not reciting in class contributed with my low grades because I was once laughed at whenever I recite during grade school because of my grammatical errors and now in high school I'm too afraid to recite in class but thank you so much for making this article. This helps me a lot to really push myself to the limit and to understand that pressuring myself isn't really bad because as you said it will lead us to our goals.
